TOUGHENED glass is becoming increasingly popular as a fence component, especially around suburban swimming pools.
Graham Staples from The Fence Factory at Mayfield said glass could be used for decorative effect. "It works well when used alongside other forms of fencing," he said. "We can do anything right up to completely frameless toughened glass fencing." When it comes to more conventional fencing, The Fence Factory manufactures and powdercoats its product. "We can handle the job right through from start to finish. "It starts by sending out a fully experienced salesman to talk to customers about their requirements. "He can suggest alternatives and variations. "We see the job right through from the design to the finish and that means there's no middle man. "And because we do it all ourselves we can offer a complete range of colours. "That means of course that we also carry the warranty and customers like that idea." Mr Staples said well designed and constructed fencing enhanced the value of any property. "Fencing that is practical and looks good is not only pleasing to the eye but it adds value. "And with the range of styles and colours that we have to select from, there's bound to be something to please any buyers."
